Romani Group to help find options for Denver

The group, led by Tim Romani, will work with longtimre real estate developer Ray Baker of Gold Crown Management onthe St. Anthony The current site is adjacenrto Sloan’s Lake and bordered by Colfax Stuart Street, 17th Avenue and Perryu Street. Starting next year, the hospital will begihn the process of moving from itscurren 16-acre site — where it has been locatef for almost 100 yeares — to a 25-acre parcel in Lakewood’s Federal Center near Kiplingy and Sixth Avenue. St. Anthony pland to open a new orthopedic-surgery hospitalo at its Lakewood grounds in August 2010 and a new hospitao to replace the Denved facility infall 2011.
Roman i said the group will take at about two years to evaluates thecurrent St. Anthony property and work with the communityg before taking requests for proposals from developersa and decide what uses will best servethe property, the hospital and the community. He addedd that the site’s proximity to Sloan’s Lake Park and its scenidc views of downtown Denver and the mountai range make it an attractive propertyfor mixed-use development that is heavh on residential housing, but would include a larg e commercial complex as well as some officw buildings. “It’s a fair assumption that much of the existingh facility willbe demolished,” Romanji said.

The university’w former medical campus on Colorado Boulevard at Ninthu Avenue was sold to Shea Properties after the hospital relocatedc to its new home at the Anschuts Medical Campusin Aurora. Other Romani Grouop projects include the renovation of BoettcherConcert Hall, the Coloradp Convention Center expansion project, the Pepsi Center, Invesco Fielcd at Mile High, Dick’s Sporting Good s Park and Broomfield Eveng Center.
The group is also collaborating on a joinyt venture to oversee the development of the futurwe home ofin Lakewood.
